Pietro Paganini, Partner

Pietro Paganini has more than a decade of experience in European business and politics. He maintains a worldwide network of contacts among policy makers, investors and researchers and has managed numerous public affairs campaigns and research projects on issues such as public health policy, EU regulation and foreign investment in Southern European countries. 

Based in Milan and Rome, Italy, Pietro previously worked as an independent public affairs consultant focusing on regulatory issues in Italy and the EU. . He currently serves as Adjunct Professor in Business Administration at the John Cabot University (aggiungi link John Cabot http://www.johncabot.edu/) in Rome, where he teaches in the area of Innovation Management, Management Theories and public affairs, public relation and lobby Management. He also served as Researcher at LUMSA University in Rome and as Visiting Lecturer at Karlstad University in Sweden.

Pietro holds a PhD in communications and complex organizations from LUMSA University, a master’s degree in multimedia design from Karlstad University, and a bachelor’s degree in business communications from LUMSA. He is the author of Innovation: From Theory to Territory: Paradigms and Strategies in the Information Society (Giappicheli, Turin, 2006) as well as numerous articles in Italian newspapers, magazines and journals. He has appeared on several TV and radio shows in Italy.

Pietro is fluent in English and Italian.


Nico Wirtz, Partner

Nico Wirtz has extensive experience managing grassroots campaigns, research projects and government affairs issues in Europe and the United States. He has worked with community leaders, think tanks and elected officials on a wide range of issues including energy policy, financial regulation and public health policy. He frequently travels to emerging markets such as Moldova, Romania and Ukraine where he maintains a wide network of contacts.
 
An immigrant to the United States from Germany, Nico previously worked as an independent public affairs consultant focusing on media outreach and grassroots mobilization across the European Union. He also served as a research fellow and program director at the Washington D.C. office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, overseeing all the foundation’s activities in the United States. Prior to coming to the United States, Nico served as a combat engineer in the German Army.

Nico holds a master’s degree from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn, Germany. He is the author of International Activities in the Area of Critical Infrastructure Protection (Bonn, 2003) as well as numerous articles and opinion editorials in German newspapers.

Nico is fluent in English and German.
